Privacy Policy

At LocationInspector, we take your privacy seriously. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information that you provide directly to us, including:

  • Location searches and queries
  • Email address (if you subscribe to our newsletter)
  • If you create an account: your email address; your name and profile photo if you sign in with Google; the reports you save, your lists and the notes you write; and the browser and device type of each signed-in session
  • Feedback and communications

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide and improve our location inspection services
  • Send newsletters and updates (if subscribed)
  • Respond to your feedback and questions
  • Analyze and improve our website performance

3. Data Protection

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized or unlawful processing, accidental loss, destruction, or damage.

4. Cookies

We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to track activity on our website and hold certain information. You can instruct your browser to refuse all cookies or to indicate when a cookie is being sent.

A sign-in cookie keeps you signed in to your account for 30 days. If you check new addresses without signing in, a cookie counts the new reports you started that day, so the daily free limit works.

5. Third-Party Services

We may employ third-party companies and individuals to facilitate our service, provide service-related services, or assist us in analyzing how our service is used. These third parties have access to your personal information only to perform these tasks on our behalf.

Sign-in emails are sent by Resend. Google sign-in is provided by Google, which shares your name, email address and profile photo with us when you choose it.

Live ratings and opening hours on reports (paid plans) come straight from Google Maps to your browser when you ask for them, together with a Google map. Google receives the report's location and your browser's usual request details under Google's own privacy policy; we don't see or keep those results.

Payments for the Trip Pass and Plus are handled by Stripe, and sold through Link, Stripe's payment service, as the seller of record. Your card details go to Stripe, never to us. We keep what you bought, when, the amount, and the Stripe customer and payment IDs that link your purchase to your account.

6. Newsletter Communications

If you subscribe to our newsletter, you can unsubscribe at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in our emails or contacting us directly.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access your personal information
  • Correct inaccurate information
  • Request deletion of your information
  • Object to processing of your information

If you have an account, you can download your data or delete your account at any time under Account → Privacy & data.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "last updated" date.

9. Contact Us
